Right now, I do. It is 1:57am – the ideal time to update a web site and spot that I haven’t posted a blog since 2022. Although I think I mentioned that I wouldn’t be posting every day… but, yes, there’s a middle ground between every day and four years later.

So, I’ve finished the screenplay and I’m very happy with it. It’s a horror-comedy and it has gone through a lot of changes and development from the time it started to where it arrived. And, obviously, it will change further as the process continues. I’ll want actors to bring their own contributions and ideas. But for now, it’s in a solid state.

I’m currently in the process of putting together a presentation document that I can present to potential executive producers. I also need to track down a reputable Line Producer to help me nail down the budget. It’s an exciting time. The development of a screenplay is a mixture of fun—unearthing events, dialogue and character moments—and frustration that I cannot simply will it to go more swiftly. However, this does make it satisfying to reach that moment at which I could hand it out to trusted readers for honest critical feedback.

I’m also doing what I can to put the word out on Instagram that a new project is incoming, which will interest independent film fans and fans of horror in particular. So, if I haven’t posted here, check out me out there and give me a follow for further updates…
